For those of you who don’t know, a Groutfit is exactly as it sounds- grey on grey on grey, usually consisting of sweats on both the lower and upper half of the body. You’ll find yourself in a Groutfit after a few consecutive allnighters when the only thing you’re looking forward to is finally allocating that heap or handing in your quarter-long project that you started a few days ago.

Needless to say, we’ve come up with a few ways to adapt fashion to the pervasive Stanford culture that leans towards comfort and ease, especially when it comes to dressing. Needless to say, we’re not the biggest fans of Microsoft Tees paired with cargo shorts and flip flops, and wanted to show you a few ways to roll out of bed, and head to class with zero stress. Try pairing a skirt with a comfy sweater, and a pair of boots, or even a pair of jeans with a jacket and kicks.

Amabel’s probably one of the coolest people you’ll meet.

She’s quite the international, hailing from England, Hong Kong, and Vancouver, she considers herself a “third culture” kid. She’s a special kind of magnetic: though quiet at first, her energy and smile are infectious.

Currently, she’s delving into English Lit and Creative Writing at Oxford – a fuzzy through and through. Amabel ran Track & Field on The Farm, but decided to step away to pursue her true passions of film and theatre. She won the prestigious Chappell Lougee scholarship and spent her summer roaming around Europe writing a fiction piece, making her way around Hungary, Croatia, France and Italy, finding inspiration almost every step of the way.
